The fall real estate market is in full swing. But just because it will start getting dark earlier doesn’t mean showings have to dwindle! In fact, fall is the 2nd busiest time of year for home sales. Below are 4 quick tips for a successful fall listing:
- Use the fall foliage to your advantage – A beautiful fall day is a great time for listing photography and showings.
- Don’t price too aggressively – While the fall market is busy, it does tend to drop off around Thanksgiving, so it’s best to price reasonably and avoid sitting on the market through the holidays.
- Time your listing right – Consult with your agent to determine the average days on the market for similar homes, and be sure they monitor weekly activity in case timely adjustments need to be made.
- Be flexible with showings – Less daylight hours means a bit less time for showings, so keep that in mind and accommodate as many requests as possible.
