Living in Loudoun has some obvious (and beautiful) perks. But with all of its history, there’s more to our area than meets the eye! Check out these lesser-known facts about Loudoun County, courtesy of Visit Loudoun:
▫️Founded in 1757, the history here runs deep. Loudoun was a major location during the Civil War, and Middleburg’s Red Fox Inn served as a headquarters and hospital during that time.
▫️It’s a presidential destination. The Kennedys owned an estate in Middleburg and Jackie Kennedy rode horses at Morven Park. Michelle Obama has visited Greenhill Winery (she liked the Seyval Blanc).
▫️Loudoun has the most wineries of any county in the state. Drink up and enjoy the views!
If you’d like a tour of Loudoun or are curious about what it’s like to live here, send me a message. I’d love to connect and share about our area’s neighborhoods, schools, and lifestyle.
